Last Days of School

As I sit in Algebra class

Feeling very tired and so mentally drained

I have to remember I need to pass

There are only 20 days that remained

Today is game day ready to play

Very happy that it’s cloudy and rainy as of now

Games cancelled still inching closer to May

I am almost done as a freshman in high school but how

From the first day of school sitting in 1st hour Desktop Publishing

To using all my brain power to get through test

As I speak my future is establishing

Right now I know that no sleep and working hard is the best

So many new memories were made

This has been one of my best years yet

I would like to say that I am happy with my grades

These are years I am bound to never forget

A few words I have for future underclassmen

Pay attention and know what is going on

It will eventually end

So don’t be caught doing wrong

Get your work in

Stay involved

Go into games thinking that you are going to win

Let out the alcohol

And lastly stay true to you

Have some fun and be social

Because once it is over you will feel blue

Because I know that your future will be hopeful

I’m not really a great poet, but I want to get better.
