Last of friends
He sat alone on a park bench late that night getting ready to smoke his last cigarette.
He drew the lighter to his face and felt the warmth of the so insignificant flame that came from it.
As it was lit he felt his lungs fill with that ever so familiar collapsing feeling that no one quite understood.
The wind blew hard across he cheek pushing the newly formed tears back across his face .
He felt alone and his only friend the end of that cigarette.
So he sat still and stiff and talked out a few of his problems with his last true friend willing to listen.
