Last Kiss

the tide slowly rising

creeping up the shore

sneaking up to tell us

exactly whats in store

whether it be fish or shells

the sea does not know

no judgement, no second thought

of what will be in stow

it doesn't know the difference

lost loves or found romance

of the memories it carries

hoping to give a second chance

to maybe that one lucky soul

staring into the abyss

thinking just maybe

for one more kiss.
