Last march of the ents

The forest trees

are calling me,

Their voices sad with longing.

Oh kin they cry

To us reply

And ease our desperate longing.

For open air

and leaf green hair

A world where we are small.

You crowd us

And you kill us

And you cut us so we fall.

Oh kin I cry

So I reply

These people are destruction.

With trumpet blair,

And great fanfare

We'll march through all obstruction.

The people run

From the forest one

We take what once was ours.

Human roads

And burden loads

Saps our earthly powers.

The evil done

By the nuclear one

Can never be erased.

Tree and land

All turn to sand

Our homelands defased.

The earth cut down,

The empy crown,

All Ents raise a cry.

Try we might

To win the fight

With all the Earth we die.
