In the last moment

All I could remember was the two blue doors opening

he stepped out with his bright smile that always make me tingle on the inside

he says a few words as I try not to be awkward but fail miserably

I take a step back as he takes two toward grabbing me and pulling me in for a hug

his arms wrap around me for a minute

In that minute my heart dropped, time froze, and there was silence

I felt a deep tingling sensation as I felt like we could be something more but he pulled away

giving me his final goodbyes as he slipped from my fingers

all I could here was the silence on the inside and the drips of rain hitting the ground on the outside

i felt empty but I knew it wasn’t over.
