Last night

I stare at my reflection in the shattered glass

Unfamiliar sunken eyes stare back

The razor blade cuts such perfect lines

Through the snow

Off I go

I feel the earth roll off my shoulders

A heart beating in perfect rhythm

With the greatest song I've ever heard

With the greatest people I've ever known

A grin that only grows

This euphoric flight in the depth of night

The only thing to stop us is the sun's early light

Unbreakable, invincible, I can't stop

If only I could grasp it and hold it tight

But it's like trying to grip water

It slips away

And it's back, the massive weight

And this song is playing out of tune

Too loud

These sad faces like shadows around me

Reality digs its claws into you and rips you down

You've never fallen so far

So I close my eyes and try to think no more
