Last Night
Last Night
Last night I gazed at the sky above me well my tears made
The rain of so much pain ,
I cried and I cried because I let the man I love go tonight ,
I was abused when I was young and I never known love
But when love came my way I was gone ,
I looked deep in the sky looking for answers of the whys
Each star has a name and I wounder were your star is at
I gave a reason why it was you I loved.
But then I gave reason why I must run ,
I looked so deep, I looked so far, in the midnight sky wishing
Up on a star to heal my broken heart ,
But it was not long until I ran out of stars.
And the stars shine so beautiful but not as beautiful and never compare
To the ones in your eyes,
But those stars are long gone now and it was all my fault ,
And if I had a star for each time I cried for you ,
It would make the Mediterranean Sea
look brighter then it could ever be
Your love meant the world to me ,
So much I had to set you free ,
I'd have the whole night right here at my chest.
Of so much regrets ,
Our love takes us to a different time and place.
You make the colors of the earth so defined.
But your love is no longer mine .
I tell myself you’re not worth the fall.
But when I see your face I forget it all.
Not even I can tell myself you're not the one.
There's so much about life that I don't understand.
I don’t know the secrets that the world demands.
I only know one thing that's true I will always treasure you .
Every time I close my eyes I thank God for given love a try.
