The Last Pages

It must begin. It must end. Let your mind fold in, And your imagination - suspend. - To a world not your own To a place no eye can see To where the dragons roam To lands where elves may be. - To reach those final pages Like to run the hardest race Like to live across the ages Then the journey's end embrace. - From field and fountain From starry streams Through lake and mountain Drift these dreams. - That each to hold, as in sleep Their tales and thoughts, to keep To be free of reality's cages In the magic of the last pages.
