The Last Time

The last time I saw her

She laid in bed

Breathing shallowly

Eyes fluttering slowly

The scent of bleach

Her mouth opened

Taking a few seconds

She started to speak

“Live long my children,

And love each other

For you shall need another”

Mouth gaping

Eyes closing

Head rested on pillow

Slowed breathing

Silence held

Death’s blade fell

The last time I saw her
