Last Year Of High School

Everyday my focus dulls like a powerful chainsaw going through jagid dirt

My head is full of anticipation

the hands on the clock, the X's on the calandar, all count down the months

Sitting in class  I feel like a dog sitting with a fat, juicy strip of steamy bacon infront of him but can't eat it

I want to go to college so bad, but all of the sudden half my senior year is gone

I start to get nervous like a guy on a first date

Will I get accepted?

Will I get Financial Aid?

How many goodbyes will I have to say?

I'm so excited, but at the same time I'm not

It's like deciding to jump into the brisk, pristine water on a hot summer day

I will have to take the plunge soon

I just don't wanna have to say good bye to my peers, family, and friends

My Senior year is almost over.
