Laugh

I tell you my dreams Of my aspirations and hopes and goals and dreams And then I smile Expecting your congratulations You laugh in my face Of my dashed aspirations and failed hope and worthless goals and crushed dreams And then you smile Satisfied. I accomplish my dreams Of my success and fame and fortune and fulfillments And then I smile Expecting your nothingness I laugh in your face Of your dashed accuracy and failed scorn and worthless chatter and crushed expectations And then I smile. Fulfilled.
