Laughing at Life

Oh this confounding world we inhabit

With currency the king of the whole zone

We all have to work ourselves to the bone

Competing amongst ourselves for profit

For gold is the standard we abide too

Where we work to live, and live to work

But in times like this all I do is smirk

For everyone has problems like me and you

Misfortune will be inevitable

So why not laugh a little now and then

Because problems rise time and time again

Not all suffering is unbearable

So look to the sky, don’t look to the ground

And that way happiness may yet be found
