Laughs and Smiles
Laughs and Smiles
I hear the screams, that torments my mind.
The feeling of regret, as the clock ticks, yet
I laugh and smile.
I stare at my quivering hands, as emotions take over.
The pain in my chest, almost unbearable, yet
I laugh and smile.
My eyes no longer seeing the present, now stuck wondering of the future.
The pain almost noticeable, but I stay quite, yet
I laugh and smile.
Wearing the mask of society, forever alone.
My identity a secret, my tears never shown, yet
I laugh and smile.
My heart in my throat.
Dreams I once dreamt, are now in the stars; somewhere I can never reach, yet
I laugh and smile.
Always laughing and smiling.
