Laughter

One of the most pleasant sounds

The relief of pain

Joy coming out from disdain

The promise of hope

Finally starting to cope

The enjoyment of friends

The momentary ignoring of ends

The sweet sound pierces the heart

and things seem simple again

This sound of laughter

lifts us from disaster

to give us a new point of view:

Things will be okay

and there's a life after
