Laughter
It's engulfing, enthralling, all-consuming.
It's irreplaceable.
I use it everyday.
I need it everyday.
It can keep away the insecurities;
take away the pain.
With so many varieties, there's never a duplicate.
It's unique.
And I am truly grateful to hear its melody.
I thrust it upon others;
encouraging them to do the same.
It can save a person's soul;
resurrect them.
It can be cruel,
It can be wild,
It can be loving.
From the inside jokes with teammates,
To the silly faces with your best friend.
It's a stress reliever.
A true friend.
You can't lose it;
You can't.
It's a necessity.
A miracle.
A real life-saver.
It's laughter.
And when surrounded by it, smiles are all around.
