Laughter Will Ring Through the Trees
Who would I be without you?
A broken,
Bleeding, person with no one to spill my secrets to.
You have picked me up,
Cleaned my wounds,
Eased my mind,
Filled me with thought.
You are the most annoying,
Most caring,
Most generous,
Greedy,
Thoughtful,
Funny person I have ever known.
I am terrified of the future,
Merely because I fear what decisions you may make,
But I am hopeful, too.
Hopeful for the greatness that will come,
With us side by side.
Even if we have nothing,
Stranded in the middle of a vast,
Empty land,
We will have everything.
We will have our friendship,
Love,
Memories,
Jokes,
Nothing will be lost,
Even when we are.
Laughter will ring through the trees,
As long as I have you with me.
