Lazy Day

It feels like a summer day,

Laying on the front porch step.

It feels like an old house,

Existing as quite unkept.

It feels like an empty schedule,

Nothing started or finished.

It feels like lost potential,

Having no energy to move.

It feels like a whisper,

Speaking no louder than min.

It feels like a cat in the sun,

Laying on the front porch step.

It feels like a summer day.
