Lazy Nights

I want to watch a sunset with you.

With nowhere to go, no place to be

nothing to do and no one to please.

Both admiring the fading beauty of the sky,

Staring at the sun until our eyes show our fires.

I’ll pull you close as the clouds lose their colour.

If we had no curfews to meet, would you escape the world with me?

I want to watch the stars with you.

We continue our inaction, into the night.

Holding tight under the same stars, but tonight they are so bright.

As the moon rises lazily we do not, settling deeper into our nest in the earth.

I want to watch you forever.

I look into your bright, fiery eyes and see the flames of passion.

That smile that dances across your face

Your soul is my home and happy place.
