Le Monde en Vert

                Le Monde en Vert

Brown, Auburn, Russet

Our home was once

Colors, blue, white and green

Now it is brown, auburn and russet

Soon it will be black, murky, oily

Our lungs, air and minds

Our home will be noir

We need green, jade, emerald

The trees, grass, technology

We need white, ivory, fair

The snow, sand, cream

We need blue, sapphire, indigo

The sky, water, hydrangeas

These things grow, with all different colors

Living, breathing, reacting

It is

Le Monde en Vert
