Le Papillon et L'amant

Butterflies touch fingers

In the way that lips kiss cheeks

Fluttering against skin,

Like a heart quivering, away from view,

As colors bleed together on the wings

And blood rushes to color a face

The two figures, for a moment, are one:

The butterfly

                  And

                         The lover
