The Lead

You’re leading me on

But I know it’s just a game.

Somehow I still pray

That this time you have changed.

You think I would know by now,

Every time that we’re together

My heart should duck for cover

But instead I fall for you

Just like you always knew…

And just like that, you let me drop

Till I come to a crashing stop.

Without even the decency

To turn around and see what you’ve done to me.

You think I would know by now,

Every time that we’re together

My heart should duck for cover

But instead I fall for you

Just like you always knew…
