We live in a world where celebrities have replaced role models

And political leaders are universally labeled “liars,”

Childhood idols crowd rehab centers

And Gagas have replaced our Ghandis,

I purpose we reconsider who we follow,

And down what path,

I vote we infuse politics with principles

And replace our Miley Cyrus’s with Martin Luther Kings,

Imagine the impact our idols could have if they personified our ideals,

Perhaps we would walk a little straighter
