Leaf

A fallen woman

a jewel upon the sombre earth

Glows like dreams in darkness

Illuminates the truth

That all things change

They rise then fade

This small leaf is the proof

I bend down

I pick you up

I hold you to my heart

This tender leaf

is Autumns gold

and Winters loving heart
