A Leaf on the Wind

I scatter and tumble exploring the world

Flying and twirling and swirling up high!

Looking down at the marvelous sights below

And laughing at the endless sky as I go.

But, the crisp autumn days carry a cold familiar breeze

As an icy death lurks in the dark solemn shadows of naked trees.

I look up at the greying sky once more

Remembering my adventures from before.

I smile with reminicisence as I shrivel to my core.
