A Leap
I took a leap, a leap without faith
Off the cliff and into space
With darkness below me
Leaving the daylight behind
I left the sun's comfort
I fell and fell and fell and fell
Until I reached the bottom of the well
There the darkness swallowed me whole
Took me into its arms
And will never let go
The demons are curious
They pinch and they bite
And they wonder out loud,
Who is this child
That leaped from the cloud?
