To Learn To Grow

Oh! How you must know!

An ode to you, my teacher;

My, do I bask in your glow!

Oh! How you must know;

The hours I spend trying;

But as you well know,

I'm far too slow.

But what is to know?

If you will not let me grow?

The letter you’ve stuck to my name;

How does this let me know?

I cannot grow?

So please know, my teacher,

You’ve become a distant foe.

I beg you know,

You must let me grow.

And please,

Not too slow.
