Learn Yourself and Just Have Fun
Life is full of tragedies,
Both big and small,
But with a few mental remedies,
We can conquer them all.
Little Susie called me ugly at recess,
I'm only a kid how am I to react?
Hurt feelings and tears in excess.
Long before logic established contact.
I'm a loser because I don't have a girlfriend,
It's just middle school there's time for that,
Living with drama like there's no end.
Soon before rational thought was fact.
A test on Friday, group meeting on Saturday, the stress of who I am,
Worries about the future, the thought of letting family down,
All of these many many thoughts I can hardly stand.
This is when clearheadedness comes into town.
Life is a mind game,
Games can be won and games can be fun,
Stay on top of things and don't stay the same,
As soon as you think you've got it, things are on the run.
Live life at your speed,
Don't overwhelm yourself, it feels like a ton,
A strong, logical mind is all you need.
Learn yourself and just have fun.
