Having a college education definitely has more pros than cons. Nowadays, people’s lack of intellectual curiosity makes life less interesting than it ought to be. Although of course this is a major component, I am less concerned about making money in the field of business rather than just being fascinated with the concept of learning. Education isn’t really about getting good grades, it’s about becoming a more aware and engaged person with the universe. Going to a university will allow me to further this ability to learn, and especially since careers with a business degree are diverse, this leaves me with a higher chance of becoming successful. What attracts me to the field of business is that a lot of the skills I possess are skills that a successful business career would require, like being good at problem solving, being creative, logically thinking, being organized, and being self-motivated. There are so many options when it comes to business because the degree is applicable just about anywhere. I have always liked the idea of working behind a major company and having a fast-paced lifestyle. Studying business would give me chances to travel and work my way up to the top. I would love using my communication skills from theatre and applying them to the real world and experiencing the international aspects of business too. My imagination makes me want to know more, dream about the future, and start that cycle within myself to grow as an individual. College will let me undertake new challenges, and I believe that the joy and excitement of life comes through the process of discovery and learning new things, and there are many things out there left to be discovered.
