Learning

You shouldn't, you shouldn't

sigh or question or Think

like a normal human being, something

lesser. why?

I'm learning, I'm learning,

to hate and sneer and laugh

because someone doesn't know

something I do.

Teach me, Missus,

how to love, how to smile,

because you don't, you can't

You know, you know best,

I am a child, and

Mother isn't here to speak on my behalf

We are peasants in a kingdom of your

Knowledge

worth nothing, worth nothing,

I shouldn't, I shouldn't

ask why your's is best

you know best

no question

no answers to mine

I struggle to remember

basic human decency

Mother taught me better than this

first grade, first grade

why does it feel like

Punishment?

Hello! I'm a 17 year old illustrator who loves to write and draw. I'm a super awkward butt. Don't mind me.
