Learning To Breathe Without You

Learning to breathe without you

Is like a baby bird with clipped wings

They never experienced the flight

But turn their eyes towards the wind

And dream

Learning to breathe without you

Is like a cloud right before the rain

Full to bursting with life

And then purging toward nonexistence

Learning to breathe without you

Is like a sickness I can’t diagnose

There are no symptoms

There are no side effects

Just an aching hole

Learning to breathe without you

Is realizing I have to let go

And having everyone know

You were the best parts of me
