A learning difference? I'm just the same!
Why is it harder for me to think?
I know the answer, but it just stinks.
My brain goes faster than I can speak
and when I say it it might not make sense.
I know to slow down and count to ten,
then all my thoughts come out the same.
I get frustrated when people say
I’m sorry Thomas “What did you say?”
So I repeat it , once and again.
Don’t get upset, it’s just the way.
Too many years, I’ve had to learn
To deal with others, and their dismay.
It’s made me stronger, and patient too.
Don’t get upset, not even a spec.
Try not to mumble, so I can express
With much clarity, what’s in my head.
A learning difference has given me strength
To be persistent and find my way.
