LEARNING TO LET GO

In this world it is easy to hate
To hate the ones that stand in our way
But through our faith we must forgive
Hope mercy and grace we all must give

The burden of a grudge is too strong
Too strong to hold on for too long
A burdened heart is a troubled mind
Searching for a solution it won't find

Look where you want for that relief
That leads to the long awaited release
You won't find it while in pain or strife
You will find it in the light of your life

Living in darkness you'll never find
It's not in the corners of your mind
Venture away from your small dark hole
You will realize you were never alone

In the midst of grief
Among the broken
You'll find your relief
In the words unspoken

They say to forgive
But never forget
So you may live
Without a regret

You simply must try
Learning to let go
Just keep your guard high
And your head down low
