Learning to Love

People dying every day, hatred takes their lives away. When will someone stand and say it doesn’t have to be this way? Where is the courage? People live in servitude, deprived of clothes and homes and food. What is this world coming to with views of liberty so construed? Where is the freedom? People live with colored skin, And we act like it’s a sin Can we see how wrong we've been; we never noticed what's within! Where is the equality? People question what they see, who they are, what they'll be. Why don’t people just agree to honor others' identity? Where is the respect? People living everywhere, have no hope, and no one cares. We never notice their despair because our lives cannot compare! Where is the love? Now we see the wrongs we face, judging people by status or race, Let's put ourselves in their place and offer to them love's embrace! Here is God's Kingdom!
