Learning to Love

If only you could learn how to love

Or even learn the truth

To be brought a flower by a dove

To know the difference between a just man and a sleuth

To be loved with compassion

Or even kindness

To be loved with fashion

Or even blindness

Learn to laugh

Learn to cry

On his behalf

On his thigh

If only you knew matrimony

Not how to be lonely
