Learning to Love Myself

Bitter mind, so shallow and angry,

So alone and prone to hurt

Yourself or others, anything at all

Hoping to feel some worth

Headed along this barren road

That's not the way,

It only gets worse

Turn around while you can,

Into the open arms of friends

They're still there for you, calling your name,

Go back before it ends

You don't have to let yourself be sad and whither away

You have a choice,  to cry and pout

Or go back to the light of day
