Learning From a Poet

What has Poetry taught me you may ask

Well Poetry taught me emotional intelligence

How to analyze and channel my emotions

What has poetry taught me?

Poetry taught me how to be an extroverted introvert through my writing

Where have you learned to use such delicacy in writing, one might inquire

Well poetry came alive in me through William Shakespeare

When the fine poet said “My bounty is as boundless as the sea,

My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite."

It taught me the beauty in but 3 lines

What has poetry taught you?
