Learning To Stand

People, people; listen to this world.

You hear the anger, and you hear the war.

Our family is hurt, and our friends are gone.

We the people must unite, and we the people must create a peaceful world.

I help others who have large hearts, and I help them to keep helping others. Because even though I have a small heart, I am willing to help those who give pieces of their large hearts to others they care for.

Ever since I was young writing was the key in my life to express myself with or without anyone's knowledge. Most of the poems are based on my past or just simple things that go through my mind. I have dreams of succeeding in life, and maybe I can finally have a chance to succeed with my writing. I am also sorry if my poems bring up certain emotions to anyone who views them. The past is the past and not matter how good or bad they were it would have not made me the strong person I am today. I hope you Enjoy my writing. And I also hope to enjoy your reviews. -D.P.
