Learning through the art of poetry

Through the words

I've learned to cry and bleed in the form of ink.

learned to write my tears

upon wide-ruled notebook paper.

learned to find my true colors

through the multicolored emotions bursting

leaking through me,

the rainbow-colored tears splashed across the page in syllables

The words I write,

reassuring whispers to myself

when the feelings inside me collide,

like paint flying.

The words,

each one which I paint with the colors spread,

crashed

dripped

scattered in my soul

Words through which

I learn to love each shade and hue of me,

through which I learn to be

The striking masterpiece I am.

"I have hated the words,

And I have Loved them

and I hope I have made them right."
