Learning to walk again

With a fall, I thought my life was over,

Pop, Crack, and then a Snap would finally put me down for good,

In actuallity it was just a sprained ankle.

When I awoke

tears of pain and agony rushed down my face,

my foot was sore but numb,

and I fall back to sleep.

The day after next,

I began to wiggle my toes and then my whole foot,

only to see if the numbness and pain would disappear.

A week had went by now,

Im on crouches and I am able to stand on my leg again,

It was still throbbing but it was durable.

Two days later I was able to walk on my once sprained foot,

Happy with excitement I smiled the hardest I could,

It took baby steps to get back to how I was before,

But I got there and now I can walk once more.
