At Least We Tried

If you love me like I love you

and I beg you not to lie

but I just dont understand why all the time we have to fight

I don't want to see you hurt

I'd rather give away my life

but i'll apologize cause i'm the reason why you cry

sometimes I feel like there is something that you're trying to hide

cause everytime you said you loved me you couldn't look me in my eyes

and I beg you for the truth, but I still get no reply

i'm patient but it feels like i'm stuck in a long line

and don't forget i'm always going to be right by your side

but if one day i'm not there just remember that I tried

time heals everything, give time, time

i'll forgive but wont forget just keep that in mind.
