He wants to leave

And I must stay

But will everything

Be okay?

Will a year apart

Send us up

In flames?

Or will it

Make him

Want to stay?

This is his wish

And I know I must

Trust

That he is aware

Of the fear

That is there

Behind the wall

I've built so high

Of all the years

I've known him so

This is the one

That hurts the most

The possibility

Of saying goodbye

Makes my heart ache

And my eyes burn to cry

He wants to leave

And I must stay

I really hope

It doesn't end

This way
