Leave and take your friends

Few years ago I would smile and say hey

Because life's too short to feel hate

Now, i have been hurt too many times

Being nice to the traitor is no longer my fortay

Damaged too many times makes one turn to hate

I despise you and all your accomplices

Cannot stand to be near or talk to them

For they were my friends too and all turned away

Giving them my trust and innocence

Oh, I am tired of my foolishness

I spoke and gave too much to all my fake friends

To know much did not need to know me that way

So leave and don’t come back

And take your friends who held knives

While I held both of my arms into the air to hug you all with loving embrace

And so I move on in hopes to fully recover from it

No one ever does; one just learns to manage the heartbreak

It makes me feel heartless but I must look past this

For I hope there are people who won’t take a good heart for granted.
