Leave Me Alone

Dangers looming near

While I accept them with open arms

Cold is all I know

So, I accept it with open arms

Being alone doesn't make me lonely

Only when happiness is shared

Why does warmth feel overwhelming?

Like you're suffocating?

When is it safe to leave the barrier

That's been built to support your mental stability?

Will warmth equal death?

Or will I accept it with open arms?
