Leave Me Alone (Help!)

It was a long road

littered with possibilities.

But as I walked along,

my feet no longer touched the ground.

Suspending above

this road of life,

I became accustomed

to invisibility.

Those still treading along

had no idea

there was a figure above

watching and waiting.

She grew familiar

to the sensation

of hardly being there at all-

a feeling she began to cherish.

Stuck between life and death

the weather-beaten girl

remained a wallflower

Forever blaming herself and others

this girl was mute,

never daring to speak.

She lost all desires

floating along

in blissful ignorance.

Days passed

but time stood still;

for a while anyway.

Then it happened;

she was discovered.

No longer was she

able to hover above.

The girl was yanked

from her world.

People noticed her

suspended between worlds.

They think she is sick.

But I know the truth.

That girl is me.

Ana.
