Leave Me Now

I say to you my love

Why did you leave me here?

Is there any hope for us?

This not knowing kills

Love is not something given

Above the world clouds gather

You brought the rain

Do you know how?

Now I guess all is lost.

How can I believe you?

When did you fall away?

Then did you ever love me?

I guess not

Why continue on?

Leave me now

Grieve me no longer.

Darkness falls on me

Hearken unto me cry.

Fly away into oblivion

Lie beneath the stars.

Be silent for me.

See what I see.

Hide your lying eye

Ride into the night.

Goodbye my love

Should we ever meet again,

I will run

Die away sad memory

This is a poem inspired by a quote on a picture. It utilizes a hidden rhyme scheme which is a step outside my usual poetry style.
