Leave the Pieces

You walk out the door,
Leaving nothing more,
Than the pieces of my heart,
Scattered far apart,
There were pieces missing,
From loves I sat reminiscing,
You took all your things,
Leaving me with almost nothing,
Few things I beg you not to take,
If you do my heart will break,
Leave your smile,
In my wallet for a while,
Leave the dog,
He’ll keep me warm in cold and fog,
But most importantly,
You’ll take it unfortunately,
When you leave and let me go,
Leave the pieces of my heart alone
