Leaves and Leaving

when the emotion dripped from my fingertips without

giving me the opportunity to catch it,

i heard the sigh which blew me forward.

i suppose this will have to do

and i am learning the difference between

leaves and leaving.

we are made of soul-stuff and i am coping

with the consequences.
