Leaves in Autumn

Here, we don't have colored leaves,

Leaves that fall to a silent symphony.

We have green.

Everything green.

No red, yellow, orange, brown, or gold,

Nothing to show that the leaves are old.

Just one day when green becomes black,

When trees are bare and winter is back.

When

           the

                   leaves

                                 fall

                                           off
