The Leaves of Life

As each leaf falls off the trees,

We lose ourselves with each that fall

Until we are completely bare,

Left with nothing on us

Depressed and alone,

We let the cold come.

And then there is a bright light;

And everything slowly comes back.

As the leaves reappear,

We blossom and bloom.

Flowers growing on us,

Hope flowing through us,

As the sun beams down upon our face,

Hope courses through our roots.

And then it repeats

But we are no longer sad,

For we know that;

Through the hardship and pain,

There will always be light

At the end of the day.
