leaving
the shore crashes
the sand scratches
the seagulls fly by the horizon
the water splashes
and my heart thrashes
the dolphins splash to say goodbye
my last goodbye,
and my hardest goodbye
to the place where I spent my days
the ocean and the sand,
raised me as their own
my last goodbye,
my hardest goodbye,
to the family I am closest to
off to an unknown world
with no sand nor sea
to confort me
